Mike MortensenIn the small cozy town of Remich (the pearl of the Mosel), you will find Domaine Kox. Since 1909, the Kox family has grown grapes in the surrounding fields and quietly improved and optimized the quality to what it is today: Outstanding! They have 12 hectares and grow 14 different grape varieties.
Passion, respect for nature and oenological competence are the keywords. Here, no compromises are made and every single type of wine in the rich assortment testifies partly to the preservation of "old" virtues, but certainly also to new thinking and innovation.
Domaine Kox produces a wide range of exciting wines: traditional white and red wines, sparkling wines, crémant, dessert wines, juices and even honey. A versatile manufacturer who enjoys great respect in the industry.
In 2014, they took another leap into the experimental, investing in 2 original so-called Kvevris. A kvevri is a very large clay pot that is dug into the ground. It is a traditional and old winemaking technique that originates from Georgia.
In 2017, Domaine Kox was one of 3 winemakers in an exciting project to produce a "cross border" sparkling wine. Together with a French and a German wine grower on the Mosel river, they produced Cuvee M; The absolute first ever wine made from grapes from 3 different countries. We have it in stock!
One of the exciting wines South Jutland vin has on the program is "the naked crémant" Cuvée Auxerrois - extra brut. As seen in the photo, the bottle is without a label! The idea is that you write a text, a message or a greeting yourself and thus personalize your gift.
