Justin Boxler Pinot Gris "Brand" Grand Cru 2017

100% Pinot Gris from the Grand Cru field Brand. The vines are in a "single plot" called Kirchtal and were planted in 1983. The subsoil consists of granite and it tastes good! Creamy, intense, fruity with notes of pineapple and yellow fruits. A light and suitable sweetness makes it an obvious choice to serve with desserts - or as a good glass "stand alone".
A maximum of 45 Hl is harvested. per hectares. The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed for 6 hours to preserve the aromas. The vinification is then carried out in very old oak casks and the wine is allowed to lie on the lees for 9 months before being bottled.
