Bernhard Huber died in 2014, so today it is his wife and especially his son Julian Huber who run the house.
Huber is the leader in Pinot Noir quality in Germany.
The fields are on south- and south-west-facing slopes consisting of fine sand and muschelkalk, which is a fossiliferous limestone from the Triassic period.
An elegant and complex wine with refined taste notes. The wine offers aromas of red berries such as cherry, raspberry and strawberry, accompanied by delicate notes of spices, forest floor and a light smoke. There are also notes of vanilla and cedar from the barrel aging. The tannins are finely integrated and give a silky texture with a long and harmonious finish.
The nose is seductive with a rich bouquet of red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, along with floral nuances of violets and roses. There are also complex undertones of spice, mocha and a touch of leather which develop over time in the glass.
